TrailByTyre / Cookie Notice

Local calculation is not the whole website.

How calculation scripts differ from Analytics, website functionality and your available browser or consent controls.

1. What this notice describes

This Cookie Notice explains the distinction between the browser-based TrailByTyre worksheets and services that support the wider website. Google Analytics is connected, contact forms are present, no newsletter service is provided, and advertising is only a possible future addition. A calculator running locally does not mean that the website never uses cookies.

Cookies are small records a browser can store for a website. Similar technologies include identifiers and other browser storage. Some support functionality or security; others can help measure visits. Their exact names and durations depend on the installed services and configuration rather than on the appearance of the page.

2. The calculation code

The supplied tool scripts calculate in the current page and do not automatically save a personal plan in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. The scripts do not create a visitor tool account or use browser storage as an automatic backup. Exports are created only when you request them.

That statement concerns the tool code itself. It does not establish what WordPress login, a hosting security layer, Analytics, an extension or another installed plugin may do. A person signed into WordPress administration can encounter account-related technologies that an ordinary public visitor does not.

3. Google Analytics

Analytics may use identifiers and cookies to help understand how visitors arrive, which pages they use and how the website performs. Depending on configuration and available consent choices, it may process page views, technical device and browser details, referrals, approximate location and interactions. It is not described here as completely anonymous.

The installed Analytics settings determine the actual behavior and retention. Read Google’s information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. The Analytics opt-out browser add-on is an additional option for supported browsers, not a general control for all website processing.

4. Contact and abuse protection

The bundled contact form uses a WordPress nonce and a hidden spam-trap field. Its basic rate counter is a short-lived server-side WordPress transient derived from a salted hash of the connection IP address. That counter is not a cookie written by the tool scripts. The window expires after fifteen minutes without another attempt.

A message is sent through WordPress mail handling, which may rely on the host or a configured mail service. Additional security, anti-spam or delivery plugins can have their own practices. No external CAPTCHA service is bundled by this installer. See the Privacy Policy for message handling.

5. Advertising is not represented as active

No particular advertising network, AdSense setup or personalized-ad function is confirmed as active by this notice. The possibility of future advertising does not make a hypothetical provider a current recipient of data. Analytics remains a separate active service.

Before introducing advertising, identify the actual provider, update the relevant notices and implement any required preference controls. Depending on the chosen service, advertising can involve contextual selection, personalization, measurement or identifiers. Those details must match the real configuration, not a generic promise.

6. Managing choices

Use your browser’s controls to review or remove cookies, limit storage and manage site permissions. Where the website presents a consent interface, use it to manage the categories that interface actually controls. Browser blocking, script blocking and private browsing can affect features and may not stop every technical server record.

Where consent is required for non-essential Analytics or future advertising, the relevant service needs to be controlled accordingly. A policy page, a contact-form acknowledgement and continued browsing are not treated here as a substitute for a suitable consent mechanism. This notice does not claim that a particular banner is installed.

7. Retention, other providers and updates

Cookie names, storage periods and provider settings can change when services are updated. We do not invent a precise inventory or a single lifetime without inspecting the actual installation. Ask through support@trailbytyre.online if you need clarification about a specific record or setting.

The current published notice should remain aligned with the website’s actual services. External links, your browser and your device can lead to separate processing. Review the Privacy Policy for broader matters such as correspondence retention, international processing and applicable privacy rights.
